Turquoise Trail Regional Alliance to Host Silent Auction and Wine Event to Fund Legal Battle

EAST MOUNTAINS — A local conservation group will host a wine and charcuterie evening with a silent auction on April 18 to raise money for an ongoing legal battle against a proposed large-scale solar facility in the East Mountains.
The Turquoise Trail Regional Alliance (TTRA), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, is inviting the community to “After Hours At The Lantern,” held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Lantern Ridge.
All event proceeds will cover legal fees in the organization’s court battle against PCR Energy and Sandoval County. The TTRA is working alongside a community coalition, including EMPAC, to prevent the Diamond Tail Ranch from being converted into a large-scale solar facility. Organizers state the development would adversely impact local neighborhoods, wildlife, culture, and the scenic beauty of the Turquoise Trail.
Tickets for the event are $28 per person. Admission includes four 3-ounce glasses of wine and access to a buffet featuring meats, cheeses, appetizers, and mini desserts.
While enjoying the food and wine, attendees can bid on a wide array of items and experiences donated by community members. Featured auction items include:
- An elopement package in Sedona, Arizona
- A Kim Jew studio photography session
- An Explora family membership
- Overnight retreat stays and getaways
- Custom-made jewelry, unique artwork, and pottery
- Stylish furniture
- Restaurant and movie gift cards
- Luxury coffees and teas
All silent auction donations go directly to the TTRA and are tax-deductible. The auction will accept payments via PayPal, cash, and checks.
Reservations are highly recommended to ensure adequate food and wine. Attendees can RSVP and purchase tickets online through the Lantern Ridge Market website. https://www.lanternridgemarket.com/event-details/wine-and-charcuterie-with-silent-auction?fbclid=IwY2xjawQlDjJleHRuA2FlbQIxMABicmlkETEwdWkxNDlsYTF4bE5rZGFHc3J0YwZhcHBfaWQQMjIyMDM5MTc4ODIwMDg5MgABHoRHLytYBBMJv26JZ8LicSmB8zkW2FbuncyBZ316khjO_V5X6eJVJvKbNRWz_aem_7Uh_Dp3f9Yklg7VN2MTtyg
