The East Mountain community is set for a Halloween extravaganza with two different festive events scheduled for the same day, Saturday, October 25th. From morning car enthusiasts to all-day family fun, residents of Cedar Crest and Tijeras will have plenty of options to celebrate the spooky season.

Morning Treat: Cars & Coffee Trunk or Treat in Cedar Crest πŸš—

For those who like their Halloween with a side of chrome and caffeine, the East Mountains Cars & Coffee Trunk or Treat is set to kick off the day.

This event will take place on Saturday, October 25th, from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM in the parking lot next to Triangle Grocery on North 14 Cedar Crest, NM.

Car enthusiasts are invited to bring their “rides,” decorated or not, for a unique morning of trunk-or-treating. Organizers are encouraging everyone to bring their families and friends to this community gathering. The early timing makes it a perfect stop before heading to the afternoon and evening festivities in Tijeras.

All-Day Spooktacular: Village of Tijeras Halloween Fest πŸ‘»

The Village of Tijeras is rolling out an extensive, all-day celebration, promising a “great family, friendly event” at 10 Tijeras Ave.

The fun begins at 12 PM with an Arts & Craft Fair at the Senior Center, offering a chance to browse local goods. Refreshments will be available from the start, with Kona Ice serving novelty treats and the Tacos La Mordida Food Truck on site.

Trunk or Treat & Evening Entertainment

The centerpiece of the day is the Trunk or Treat and Costume Contest running from 4 PM to 6 PM.

As the sun sets, the celebration continues:

  • Live Music: Trinity Soul will perform live from 7 PM to 8 PM.
  • Beer Garden: Adults can enjoy the Beer Garden by Rock Canyon Cider, located at Luis Garcia Park and Veteran’s Memorial.

Whether you’re stopping by for a morning look at cool cars and coffee in Cedar Crest or spend the afternoon and evening enjoying crafts, music, and treats in Tijeras, October 25th looks to be a memorable day for the East Mountain communities.
