Affordable Adventure: Edgewood’s YES! Program Offers 8 Weeks of All-Inclusive Fun

EDGEWOOD — The Town of Edgewood and Santa Fe County have partnered to launch the “YES! Summer Program,” an eight-week recreation initiative for local youth ages 5 to 12.

The program is scheduled to run from June 1 through July 24, with activities based out of Edgewood Town Hall at 171A NM-344. Registration for the limited-capacity camp is set to open on April 15.

Organizers have set the weekly camper cost at $50, an all-inclusive fee that covers lunches, daily activities, and several high-profile field trips. Destinations for the 2026 season include the Albuquerque Zoo, Silva Lanes Bowling Alley, Wildlife West Nature Park, Explora, and the New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Science. Campers are also scheduled to attend a screening of “Toy Story 5” at the ICON Theater.

In addition to off-site excursions, the “imagination-filled” curriculum features on-site programming such as arts and crafts, science projects, sports, and specialized “Jr. Chef” and “Jr. Detective” workshops. The program will also integrate with the local library’s summer reading initiative.

Town officials emphasized that the $50 weekly rate is intended to keep the program accessible for area families while providing a comprehensive summer experience. Additional field trips and activities are expected to be announced as the start date approaches.

Parents and guardians interested in enrolling children can find more information through Edgewood Town Hall or the Santa Fe County youth services department.
