Ten Pintos Selected to All-District Baseball Teams

MORIARTY — Following a season defined by powerhouse offensive displays and a deep rotation, the Moriarty Pintos have placed 10 players on the All-District 2-4A baseball teams, led by a quartet of first-team selections who posted eye-popping statistical totals.
Sophomore standout Cash Klein and seniors Raiden Scribner, Micah Kamplain, and Tyler Denomme secured First Team honors, anchoring a Moriarty lineup that averaged nearly 10 runs per game over a 25-game stretch.

Klein emerged as one of the most dangerous hitters in the state, leading the Pintos with a blistering .556 batting average and a 1.662 OPS. Klein’s ability to find gaps resulted in 13 doubles and seven home runs, driving in 34 runs while scoring 29 times.
Scribner was equally lethal at the top of the order, trailing Klein only slightly with a .522 average. The senior showcased elite gap-to-gap power, leading the team with 14 doubles and reaching base at a .607 clip. On the mound, Scribner’s veteran presence remained a constant for the Pintos’ defensive identity.

Rounding out the First Team selections, Micah Kamplain proved to be the ultimate two-way threat. Kamplain led the team in RBIs with 36 while maintaining a .438 average. However, his impact was perhaps greatest on the mound, where he served as the staff’s workhorse, logging 45 innings and striking out a team-high 62 batters while maintaining a 2.64 ERA. Tyler Denomme earned his First Team nod by hitting .424 and providing steady production with 10 doubles and 26 RBIs.

The Pintos’ depth was further recognized with four Second Team All-District selections:
- Scott Batie (So.): A primary arm for Moriarty, Batie led the team in wins with five and struck out 38 batters over 28 innings.
- Trey Denomme (So.): The sophomore hit .347 and was a consistent run producer, crossing the plate 28 times.
- Wesley Francis (Jr.): Francis provided a spark with a .366 average and a perfect 1.012 OPS.
- Nick Kamplain (Sr.): The senior hit .324 and provided veteran stability in the field and on the mound, where he posted a perfect 3-0 record.

Honorable Mention honors were awarded to Mario Romero and Rylan Thackerson. Romero was a steady contributor with 13 RBIs, while Thackerson provided crucial depth, appearing in 24 games and contributing 19 runs scored.
Collectively, the Moriarty honorees led the Pintos to a season marked by a .377 team batting average and a combined 15 home runs, cementing their status as one of the most formidable units in District 2-4A.
