GAME TWO
The Pintos (10-8, 6-1) unleashed a staggering offensive assault to overwhelm Espanola Valley 22-6 in the second game of their road doubleheader, ending the contest in six innings.
The Pintos combined a 12-hit barrage with disciplined plate appearances to dismantle the Sundevils’ pitching staff. Moriarty set the tone immediately with four runs in the opening frame and never trailed. While Espanola Valley remained within striking distance through four innings, trailing 8-6, the Pintos effectively ended the game with a massive 12-run outburst in the top of the sixth.

Trey Denomme headlined the Moriarty box score, finishing 2-for-3 with two doubles and three RBIs. Nick Kamplain also drove in three runs on two hits, while Micah Kamplain and Cash Klein each collected two hits and two RBIs. The Pintos’ scoring was aided by a shaky Sundevil defense that committed four errors.
On the mound, two Moriarty hurlers combined for eight strikeouts to keep the Espanola Valley bats in check. Cash Klein was nearly untouchable, throwing 2.2 hitless innings and striking out six. Nick Kamplain provided 1.1 innings of work, recording two strikeouts and allowing just one hit.
The Sundevils managed only one hit in the contest, scoring their six runs primarily through a three-run first and a three-run fourth, but they were unable to keep pace once the Moriarty lineup found its rhythm in the later innings.
