Lady Timberwolves Soccer is off to hot Start

The East Mountain Lady Timberwolves are riding serious momentum, kicking off their season with a blazing 2-0-1 run at the Bernalillo tournament.

East Mountain set the tone early on Friday, making a deafening opening statement with a 9-0 rout of Santa Fe Indian School. The real test of grit came Saturday, as the squad braved brutal triple-digit heat to grind out a scoreless 0-0 draw against Pojoaque Valley in the morning, before capping the weekend with authority by powering past Class 4A Portales 4-1 to seal an undefeated tournament run.

Under the helm of first-year head coach Rebel Lathrop, the surging Lady Timberwolves look to defend home turf next when they host Robertson on Aug. 25 at 3 PM.
