Folds of Honor New Mexico to host annual gala for military and first responder scholarships

ALBUQUERQUE — Folds of Honor New Mexico has announced it will host its annual Patriot Dinner this September, gathering community members, veterans, and businesses to raise educational scholarship funds for the families of fallen or disabled military service members and first responders.

The premier fundraising event is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 12, 2026, at the Isleta Resort & Casino, located at 11000 Broadway Blvd SE in Albuquerque.

The evening will begin with a cocktail hour and social at 6 p.m., followed by dinner, a formal program, and live and silent auctions starting at 7 p.m. Proceeds from the ticket sales, sponsorships, and auctions will directly fund scholarships for the spouses and children of individuals who have been killed or disabled in the line of duty.

“The Patriot Dinner is an opportunity to honor the sacrifices of these heroes, raise awareness of available support programs, and help fund scholarships that make a lasting impact on families who have given so much,” said Gerald McDaniel, a Folds of Honor New Mexico board member and active first responder.

McDaniel noted that many resources available to military and first responder families often go unnoticed by the broader public, making community awareness a central goal of the event.

Since its national inception in 2007, Folds of Honor has awarded tens of thousands of educational scholarships across the United States. The organization operates under the core belief that no family should have to sacrifice their children’s educational future due to a loved one’s service and sacrifice.
