East Mountain Beats Hope Christian 10-2, Starts Season 3-0

SANDIA PARK — The East Mountain High School baseball team continued its dominant start to the season Tuesday, cruising to a 10-2 home victory over Hope Christian. The win moves the Timberwolves to a perfect 3-0 record following a season-opening doubleheader sweep of Valley.

Dominance on the Mound

Senior Aidan Madrid anchored the Timberwolves’ effort, earning the win with a commanding five-inning performance. Madrid surrendered only one run on eight hits while striking out four and walking none.

Efficient Offense

East Mountain’s bats were highly efficient, turning 11 hits into 10 runs. The Timberwolves showed significant plate discipline, led by Aidan Madrid, who reached base in every appearance, finishing 2-for-2 with two RBIs.
