Community News: Moriarty-Edgewood School District to Host Free Health & Wellness Fair

Moriarty, NM – The Moriarty-Edgewood School District (MESD) is set to host a comprehensive Community Health & Wellness Fair on Wednesday, November 19, 2025. The free event is open to the public and will run from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Moriarty High School Practice Gym.
The fair is designed to provide essential health services and resources to individuals of all ages in the Moriarty and Edgewood communities. MESD’s motto, “Rooted. Ready. Rising,” reflects the district’s commitment to community well-being.
Key Services Available
Attendees will have access to a variety of vital health services, including a Vitalant Blood Drive. In collaboration with NMHealth, COVID-19, flu, and childhood vaccines will be available.
In partnership with the local Lions Club, vision screenings will be offered, along with free glasses for those with a current prescription. Recognizing the importance of mental well-being, the fair will also provide access to Mental Health Resources from organizations like Presbyterian Medical Services (PMS) and Youth Development, Inc. (YDI).
The event also features participation from organizations such as IEXplora, xStudio, Parents Reaching Out, and the Partnership for a Healthy Torrance County (PHTC), offering various engaging activities and resources for families. The MESD Community Health & Wellness Fair aims to be a single-stop resource for promoting a healthier community.
