Community Luck and School Spirit: Edgewood Middle School Prepares for Bingo Extravaganza

EDGEWOOD — The gym at Edgewood Middle School is set to transform into a high-stakes hall of luck and laughter this Friday. On February 20, the EMS Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) will host its annual Bingo Night, inviting families and community members to play for a cause.
The event promises a lively atmosphere where “competitive spirit” meets community support. With doors opening at 5:00 PM, the night is designed to be a one-stop shop for family entertainment and dinner.
Games, Prizes, and Lucky Charms
For a $25 buy-in at the door, participants will have the chance to compete in 13 total rounds of bingo. Organizers are teasing “BIG prizes” for the winners of each round, encouraging attendees to bring their favorite lucky charms to help tilt the odds in their favor.
Supporting Students and Teachers
Beyond the thrill of the “BINGO!” shout, the evening serves a critical purpose for the local school system. All profits from the event are earmarked for the students and teachers of EMS. These funds directly support:
- Classroom resources and supplies.
- School programs and extracurricular activities.
- Enhanced educational tools for staff.
Dinner with a Side of Service
Players won’t have to worry about cooking on Friday night. Members of the National Junior Honor Society will be on-site selling a variety of food and snacks. Proceeds from the concessions will also stay within the student body, supporting the NJHS and its various initiatives.
“Let’s pack the house and make it a night to remember,” the PTO shared in a statement, emphasizing that every card played and every snack purchased contributes to the betterment of the school.
