East Mountain’s Chaeli Lehocky Selected to NMHSCA All-Star Softball Game

East Mountain High School senior standout Chaeli Lehocky has been selected to showcase her talents among the state’s elite after earning a spot in the 2026 New Mexico High School Coaches Association (NMHSCA) All-Star Softball games.

Lehocky will suit up for the Red team—one of four all-star squads selected for the annual postseason showcase—following a spectacular senior campaign where she anchored the Lady Timberwolves.

Except for pitching, which she doesn’t do, Lehocky practically owned the East Mountain stat sheet. Across 20 games, the senior posted a blistering .486 batting average, leading the team in hits (17), RBIs (15), doubles (3), triples (2), and home runs (1).

Her impact was just as prominent on the basepaths and in the field. Lehocky led the Lady Timberwolves with seven stolen bases while flashing elite defensive skills. Another standout statistic is the first baseman carried a .976 fielding percentage with 37 putouts.

The multi-day All-Star event is scheduled for Friday, May 29, and Saturday, May 30, at V. Sue Cleveland High School, located at 4800 Laban Rd NE in Rio Rancho.

Lehocky and the Red team will kick off the tournament action in Game 1 on Friday, May 29, at 5:00 p.m. against the Green team on Field #1. The second half of the bracket will feature the Turquoise and Gold teams squaring off at 6:30 p.m.

Tournament play resumes Saturday morning, May 30. The consolation matchup between Friday’s non-advancing teams is set for 9:30 a.m., followed by the championship game between the opening-round winners at 11:00 a.m.

Admission for the event is $12.00 for all ages, while children aged 5 and under are admitted free. Tournament organizers noted that the gate is entirely cashless, and no re-entry into the facility will be permitted.
