Edgewood Seeks Volunteers as Registration Nears for Annual Twinkle Light Parade

EDGEWOOD, N.M. — The Town of Edgewood is preparing to kick off the holiday season with its annual Twinkle Light Parade on Friday, Dec. 4, and organizers are calling on community members, local vendors, and volunteers to help bring the festivities to life.

The free, family-friendly event is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. along New Mexico State Road 344. Following the procession, celebrations will continue at Venus Park with the annual tree lighting ceremony at 7 p.m., alongside complimentary cookies, hot cocoa, and a visit from Santa Claus.

Ahead of the celebration, event planners are seeking float entries and food vendors to participate in the parade lineup. Community groups, businesses, and residents interested in decorating a float or setting up food concessions must register by the Nov. 25 deadline via the town’s sign-up portals.

The Town of Edgewood’s event team is also recruiting volunteers for multiple roles running through November and December to assist with preparation, staging, and event-night operations.

Those interested in volunteering or seeking additional information can contact town coordinator Jackson Poole by phone at 505-286-4518 or by email at jpoole@edgewood-nm.gov.
