Say Yes to Edgewood’s YES! Summer Program
EDGEWOOD — The Town of Edgewood and Santa Fe County is currently taking registrations for the YES! (Youth Events for Summer) Program, a daily summer recreation camp designed for children ages 5 to 12.
The program is scheduled to run from June 1 through July 24, providing nearly two months of supervised activities aimed at fostering imagination and community engagement.

Program Schedule and Activities
Based at Edgewood Town Hall and the Edgewood Community Library, the weekday program operates from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The curriculum features a rotating schedule of themed days:
- Mondays and Tuesdays: On-site activities including arts and crafts, science projects, sports, and games.
- Wednesdays: Field trip days, featuring bus excursions to regional attractions such as the Albuquerque Zoo, Explora, and the Natural History Museum.
- Thursdays: Integration with the Edgewood Community Library’s summer reading events.
- Fridays: “Fun days” featuring water activities and specialized recreation.
The program will conclude on July 24 with the “Edgewood’s Got Talent” show, where parents and guardians are invited to watch campers perform.
Costs and Registration
The weekly cost is $50 per child, which covers all lunches, snacks, activities, field trips, and library events.
Organizers noted that space is limited and registration is handled exclusively through an online portal. To secure a spot, payment must be processed at the time of registration. While the program is open to the public, priority will be given to residents of Edgewood and Santa Fe County.
Field Trip Highlights
This year’s excursion lineup includes several high-profile destinations, such as:
- Silva Lanes Bowling Alley
- Wildlife West & Dairy Queen
- ICON Theater (featuring a screening of Toy Story 5)
- Hinkle Family Fun Center
