December 18, 2025

The New Mexico Coaches Association has officially recognized three standout members of the Moriarty Pintos for their exceptional performance on the gridiron this season. Leading the way is senior Lance Volk, who secured a coveted spot on the Class 4A First Team.
The honors highlight a successful year for the Pintos, featuring three players and two dual-position selections across the All-State squads.

First Team Selection
- Lance Volk (Senior, OL)
- The Scoop: Known as one of the premier “pancake” blockers (37) in New Mexico, Volk served as the engine of the Pintos’ offensive line. His First Team nod reflects a season defined by consistent, dominant play at the point of attack. Volk’s work ethic and skills led to his signing to play football at Northwestern College next year.
Second Team & Honorable Mentions
The Pintos also saw two key players earn recognition on both sides of the ball:

Mario Romero (Junior, RB/LB)
- Status: Second Team Running Back | Honorable Mention Inside Linebacker
- The Stats: A true workhorse for the offense, Romero averaged 129 rushing yards per game. He finished his junior campaign with 1,620 yards and 15 touchdowns, cementing his status as one of the most productive backs in 4A.

Marques Romero (Senior, DL/OL)
- Status: Second Team Defensive Lineman | Honorable Mention Offensive Lineman
- The Stats: A nightmare for opposing coordinators, Marques proved nearly impossible to block in one-on-one situations. He anchored the defense with a team-high 9.0 sacks on the year.
