Edgewood’s Dumpster Days set for this Weekend

EDGEWOOD — The Town of Edgewood Road Department will host its monthly Dumpster Days disposal event Saturday, July 25, and Sunday, July 26, giving local residents an opportunity to clear out unwanted household waste, furniture, and bulk items.

The collection event runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. both days at the Edgewood Road Department, located at 20 Municipal Way.

Accepted items include bagged household trash, along with general furniture and household appliances. However, town officials noted that appliances containing Freon—such as refrigerators, freezers, and ice makers—will not be accepted.

A strict prohibition is also in place for hazardous materials and other non-standard bulk waste. Prohibited items include:

• Tires, large metal drums, and railroad ties
• Paint, glass, batteries, and medical waste
• Ashes, asbestos, contaminated soil, and concrete materials
• General hazardous household waste
